Ré Phillips

Ré is a multidisciplinary artist from the American South. A Georgia native, she grew up amid the legacy of the American Civil Rights Movement. Her art, as a result, is grounded in the desire to promote peace, increase mutual understanding. In addition to being influenced by Dr. Martin Luther King’s ideas of non-violence, her work is also deeply informed by her experiences as a cultural envoy working with national theatre companies, galleries, and universities across the world. Ré’s visual art has been exhibited in Amsterdam (the Netherlands), Lebanon (Beirut), India (New Delhi), Spain (Barcelona), England (Oxford), Turkey (Ankara), China (Guangzhou), and the United States (Atlanta & Palo Alto). She holds a BA from Stanford University, a master's from the University of Oxford.
